Brad Travis
Brad Travis has owned and operated Capital Investment Management since its formation in August of 1994. Brad is a Personal Financial Specialist as certified by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Public Accountant with 10 years of investment management experience and 20 years of financial planning experience involving retirement, income tax planning and estate planning issues. Brad is responsible for all aspects of managing each investment account, including the initial selection of securities and the periodic account reviews. Brad also determines when changes are necessary in the accounts and initiates those changes with trading. Another aspect of Brad's responsibilities involves fund research. With over 16,000 mutual funds available, Brad is constantly looking for and reviewing funds for those he deems appropriate to use for the accounts he manages and weeding out those which are inappropriate.
Brad earned a BS degree in Accounting from Western Kentucky University, and holds a Masters of Accountancy from Middle Tennessee State University. Brad is active in his church and is a community leader. He is a past president of the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club. Brad enjoys spending time with his boys, Corey and Kyle. Brad's hobbies include reading and studying history, with an emphasis on Biblical Characters. For relaxation, Brad enjoys hiking in the mountains.

Karen Smith
Karen Smith joined Capital Investment Management in November of 2004. Karen's responsibilities as Office Administrator include daily interaction with clients, daily deposits and withdrawals, daily reconciliation of all accounts, promotional projects, maintaining all client files, web site maintenance, daily mailings, and database management. Her main focus is providing our clients with excellent personalized service, with a caring attitude.
